This here is the Katrina class planetary cruiser which is used as a command unit by the Empire. It can carry at least one heavy vehicle and some infantry.
I will try make it come standard with a hummer and 1 recon squad.
Weaponry I am still deciding on because of balance.
I suggest: 2 Antimissile or Anti Air Lasers cannons (small and dont deal much damage), 2 Anti Ground Incendiary Missile lanchers. These would make the unit kind of a Jack of All Trades but good at neither. It would kill off an infantary force easally but it would have trouble against dedicated AA vehicles and fighter planes like most real world US aerial transports.
Its just a suggestion however. I like that it reminds me of the Empire from Star Wars, back when the franchise was still cool and original, I think you are doing a great work here and Im definatly going to install this mod when you launch a playable version.

Anti missile and AA defence stuff for sure. 4 small turrets on the corners of the main body. Incendiary missiles are Remnant exclusive so no, it has a twin cannon for ground. It was going to have cruise missile pods but I think thats too much.
Oh yeah it will have the ability to launch drones. Recon drones mostly. That is why there is a landing strip of sorts at the back.
IMY the ship is too small to be a cruiser. You should call is Planetary/Strategic command dropship.
