Papatus Dimissione It begins in the 1590's, following the initial and inevitable rise of Protestantism across Central Europe. The Holy Roman Empire's religious unity is beginning to see collapse and the Arch-Duchy of Austria deemed itself as the defender of faith. However before Burgundy could resist this new wave, it was too late. France and Burgundy were overrun with newly converted reformists. The last of the Catholics receded around Toulouse, marking it as the final stand for the old faith. The Newly formed kingdom has sent diplomatic agents near the Pyrenee range, hoping to gain support from other isolated Catholics, including the Papacy. However the Papal influence is suffering and if this trend proceeds to hinder Anti-Reformation, we can see a total Catholic shortfall in the coming years. Under Development
