Well, this feature is also present in a big variety of games, not only in DooM, but in a bunch of other genres too.

I'm aware of that but I was referring to the layout. It doesn't matter too much anyway, your HUD needs a lot of work to be quite honest (as was said already the text is difficult to read) but it's a fair start.

Thanks for the suggestion. About the letters, it's just the image's contrast what makes the lines "hard to read".
