Three variants of reloading mechanics for the Overthinked DooM 3
Hi,
In the archive below you'll find three patches altering the reloading mechanics in the mod:
ARCADE: Your regular, run of the mill shooter reloading mechanics. Most requested, I guess ;)
OLD:Reloading mechanics featured in previous versions, where the rest of the clip is subtracted from the ammo pool.
ORIGINAL: Current reloading mechanics, with re-usable clips for pistol, machinegun and chaingun. Placed here to easily revert changes.
Installation: Place a chosen zDefScript.pk4 file in the mod directory, overwrite the file when asked.

3 is the best, as its realistic - soldiers do that all the time with their guns. But with plasma guns, yah that canister is ejected to the floor... can't manipulate that power cell... unless... they were rechargeable.. need a charging station.

Do you recommend changing video settings in the ingame options or better in the autoexec.cfg instead?
I can't figure out which texture detail level the game really uses, didn't find anything in the autoexec about it. And the ingame video settings seem to be deactivated, because there's stil 640x480 although my real resolution is much higher at the same time.

EDIT: Oops, wrote into the wrong section. I meant Overthinked Doom.
Everything should be on "Ultra" by default. AA/HDR/Bloom/etc. settings should be tweaked by the SikkMod menu. As for the resolution - it should be configured via autoexec.cfg, as stated in the summary. And yeah, main menu is very misleading, never got around that, sorry ;)
