The year is 1984. Oceania is now the dominant world power, after overthrowing Eurasia. Many are in awe of this incredible world force, and subjugate themselves to its oppresive rule. The tyrant of Oceania, "Big Brother", is invading peoples personal lives more and more each day. First propaganda boards and television screens are erected at each street corner. Then, cameras are placed in each persons home. Every day this oppression grows, and soon those who are against Big Brothers tyranny end up missing or dead. Among this chaos, no one has a chance to complete their anti-government speeches. Several underground groups emerge, but they are terminated mere hours after they arise. I'm pretty excited to share with everyone here (those interested, at least) that I've decided to re-continue Orwells Hell: 1984. As you may or may not have noticed, my FarCry modification DrugWars didn't work out, but I didn't want to stop modding just yet. I've been thinking about this mod a lot since I announced it's cancellation, and decided already a while back that the concept of Orwell's masterpiece isn't actually that difficult to translate into an interactive experience. Now that DrugWars is out of the way, this would be my logical "fallback" project.

A lot of people contacted me back in May, or whenever this mod was first announced, interested in working on the team. If you were turned down then because of the cancellation, I'll be getting in touch with you pretty soon.

I hope that this comes as good news to at least a few people, and I am looking forward to fleshing the ideas out with some new faces, as well as some of those who were interested in this concept back in May.

Peace,
/*Sangye*/
