Alien weapons might not actually make the first release.

It's a complete process, we just finished all of the human weapons.

What happened (long story short), when we ported from the Episode 1 engine to the Orange Box engine, it messed up alot of things, including all of the weapons. We had to go back, fix all the muzzle flashes, shell ejections, bones, attachments, textures, the entire weapon system (damage values, hitboxes, accuracy, bullet spread, etc), and then some!

So we just finished all of the human weapons. In the current beta, both teams (Human & Alien) both use the human weapon load outs. We are contemplating on releasing it like this to the public and then add the alien weapons shortly after just so the fans can start playing and wait for all the new content, fixes, and all that :p

That's actually a place holder, borrowed from NeoTokyo :-x

Don't worry, ours will be equally as awesome :)

Please note, not sure if the flag is visible (glowy orb), that's a placeholder as well!

This is epic but it's a bit to 'Halo' for my liking...

and that is bad? halo, while maybe not a gam you like or part of a franchise you play (suck it up playstation fans) it still is a success, it has a insane amount of fans and is a major hit game everytime a new one is released, so even if it is like halo, halo is successful formula, so it works.

that being said, i get this will be nothign like Halo, and if it is like any other game, it'd be tribes.

When you play it, you'll notice a completely different game. It's more like Call of Duty (gameplay) than anything (Mixed with a bit of Tribes).

The only thing that's really 'Halo-ish' anymore is the 'world'. This is mostly because we are both outdoor games.

We have things such as sprint, jetpacks, iron sight views, movement-based accuracy, selectable weapon fire modes, 3 distinct classes.

We'll try and focus on this via our game play trailer that we will release in the next couple of weeks.

Sexaaayyyy. The grenade throwing animation looks slightly janky, but I know this is all early still. Everything else looks pro! :)

If you're talking about the level at the end of the video (with the sniper rifle and silenced SMG), that's one of the newest levels (as in the least complete). It'll be much different than you saw in this video.

The sandstorm level, is more complete but will still receive additional props by the time of the public release.

The only thing that irks me about this otherwise fantastic video is that one of the weapon names is the SPAS-12. It looks nothing like a SPAS-12. I hope this is just a placeholder.

I digress, it's still amazing and I look forward to playing this.

Yeah... what happened there was we used to have those older weapons before we redesigned. We just need to change that in the code to its 'real' weapon name now for the newly designed shotgun. (Trek-12) :p

Forgive that :p

Wow this looks ******* awesome! The only thing that seems a bit out of place are the bullet tracers , the generic hl2 ones, i know this is a WIP but will you make your own tracers for bullets?
