We are back! Although this is not the game-play trailer (that is coming after Sunday), it does showcase some of the most current content featured in the private beta we are currently beta testing.
Now, you may think "A weapon demonstration, how cool.....". Well, it is. To us at least.
We experienced quite large problems during the port from the Episode 1 engine to the Orange Box engine. It had messed up a majority of the content of our game, which we basically had to rebuild the entire game completely on the Orange Box engine.
During the port we had lost (and had/have to rebuild): All of the weapons. By this I mean: Fixing muzzle flashes, shell ejections, adding bones and attachments, fixing materials, all of that for the world (w_) models as well. On top of this, our entire weapons database system had been messed up. That meant we had to go through and re-do the entire system which handled everything such as: Damages, hitboxes, bullet spread, accuracy, fire modes, scoped views, iron sights, etc! So basically everything.
This is why we are so proud to release this video showcasing all of the human weapons fully complete. Our next task is the alien weapons, which might be included shortly after the first Public Beta.
This means we might release the public beta featuring Humans vs. Alien combat but both teams would be using the Human weapon load out temporarily. We are doing this mostly because we want to get the foundation of the game into your hands and have you guys playing while we work on more content and fixes behind the scenes to achieve and create the final 'vision' of Orion piece by piece.

Temporarily yes.
They'll each have custom ones over time.
