Operation: Modern Engagements is a BRAND new mod that I just started developing. The objective of the mod for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour is to give the game a more realistic feel, while still being fun unlike other realism based RTS games like World in Conflict, Joint Task Force (JTF), and WarGame: European Escalation.
Map made specifically for the mod. 5 Oil derricks, no supplies. Can be played with AI's.
Briefing Room:
A 2 player, 1v1 map optimized for infantry warfare, it features two small American country-side towns on both sides of the map, separated by a major highway. The focal point of combat most of the time will be in the center where the 5th oil derrick is equally between both starting players. There, players can find a nearby TV station, which can play a major role in defending against infantry if occupied with pathfinders.
The fastest way to capture and defend at least three out of the five oil derricks is to put three rangers and two pathfinders into a Chinook and then send them on their way. Each of the four oil derricks close to the towns will have a nearby building close enough where, if occupied with a pathfinder, can defend each oil derrick enough that enemy infantry can't capture them.
This is a race against time gentlemen. Whoever gets to the oil derricks first will have the upper hand, so good luck and may speed be your ally. Dismissed!
I think you should redo them mountains there... they dont look... realistic
Well this is sort of my very first time doing a working map. I'm still new to World Builder and even now I'm still making edit and changes to the map.
