OpenCoop is a cooperative multiplayer modification for Doom³.
Up to 4 Players can fight over Lan or Internet the Id Software campaing, the Addon "Ressurection Of Evil" or one of 42 custommaps as InHell or ClassicDoom for example.
You can customise you playermodel with 13 individual heads and tint your amor over a colorslider.
Every player can pick up weapons and armor once. Collected health from medpacks or heathstations goes into a heathpool, where you take HP from when respawning after dying.
The AI got tweaked to act smarter with multiply attackers and the strength scales depending on the number of players.
In "Hellwave" gametype you fight against waves of monsters on the original DM maps or on one of 3 new custommaps.
The work on maps go on and there is a new oc_custom coming up.
Thats "Tested6.0". A first betaversion with everything ported but still without spawnprogress will be released soon.
So its again on you to report traps and bugs.
Another cool thing i was working on is animating the spidermastermind that D³ mod "Recall to Hell" build and released as free content.
Model and textutes by RtH, rig and animation by klonsemann.

Till now the following animations are done, walk_forward (pic above), srafe_left, idle.
There is no concept about attacks and behavior jet.
So thats more a personal test than a preview to a release.
If this ever gets completed ingame, maps must be found where this enemy could play out its strength.

Opencoop's development was stopped just over 12 years ago.. the bad thing is that we will never see OpenCoop version v3.0... ( they must have lost the source files or they don't want to share them

OpenCoop 2.0 doesn't allow play "delta1" and "delta2b" maps, it's just drops everyone from server (and even yourself, if you're playing on dedicated server). It's only me or everyone has this issue? Any idea how to fix this?
I just came across this bug and found this patch on this very site.

When I applied the patch/files, however, it deleted the 2 maps in question that didn't work.
Anyone know what's wrong?
OpenCoop Custom Patch:
- we can say that most of the bug fixes have only been done on the doors and also the enemy fireballs didn't work properly 'Dedicated Server' and the next map target is changed so if you are completed cyberdemon bossfight so it change it map to game\marscity1... (don't not let the server crash down)
and also the boss enemies are given more health so that it brings more challenge... Guardian / Sabaoth / Vagary bossfights
and some bugs have been fixed in RoE campaign levels like broken doors and missing keycards
- and keycard bug in (Phobos Labs sector 2)
this is a custom patch.. this patch is not made by the original opencoop developer, It is disappointing that the original developers have stopped developing OpenCoop in v2008....
and those two levels: (Delta Labs 1 and 2B) are disabled... because they are kicking players out from the server ... i'm not sure what's really causing it .. is it a bug in the code base or a map file is broken
