Omfgzombieslol is a Half LIfe 2 Multiplayer COOP zombie mod where players band together to fight off genetically enhanced zombies with a range of new and improved abilities. Blockades and shelter are a huge role in survival aswell as teamwork and strategy. The zombie code is being reworked to make a much greater challenge for players and teams. Multiplayer is planned with 2 teams, humans and zombies. The zombie players will lead and control squads of zombies to destroy the humans, humans must simply survive or complete some sort of goal. This mod was started on 10-10-08 and I am trying to code this in less then 2 weeks, simply because L4D will most likely kill hl2 zombie mods, so why not try my hand at it before its too late >:D

So, today I have OFFICIAL released my first map. I have about twenty on my hard drive, but this is the first i have decided to release. Wanna know why? Because omfgzombieslol is an incredibly fun mod, except it has too few maps. I had to do a few trade-offs for this map to be completed. I took away my very well done displacements for the ground, so you wouldn't lose physics objects, which i might revert anyways, because the corpses would just disappear, similar in manner to how they do in Left 4 Dead.
So I'm putting this "news" out for people to ready, in an attempt to bring more people to this mod, that even before it finished, people were flaming saying it was pointless and that the author should do something more worthwhile. Regardless of your initial reaction to this mod you should still try it, for one reason. It's fun. After I have said all of this, I have one more plea before I go, Mappers, I beg you make a map or two for this mod, it's lacking in the number of maps that come with it (two) and even more so on third-party maps (one, mine).

This patch fixes barricade issues, adds an objective to omfg_overwatch, adds a new map omfg_desertfort, removes crowbar, and tweaks other things.
These are the client files for omfgzombieslol, not the source files thats another file, now dl and kill stuff!!!!

Thank you all to those who actually played the mod and took the time to download and try it :D
This mod is awesome. Yeah, it may look like crap visually from the previews and videos, but when you actually play the mod it's pretty fun. It's not a matter of how good something looks, what makes a mod, game or anything is the storyline and game play, this mod has game play which owns. It's a matter of having fun with members all over the community and world to play together and have a great time. So those of you who are saying "I'm not going to waste my time and download this" should indeed actually download it and play it. Like I said before, never judge a book by it's cover.

Some Suggestions: 1.Make it so that the player has to press a button before respawning, and allow for them to purchase weapons while in this wait period for them to use when they spawn. (It gets frustrating trying to buy a weapon while being raped by zombies and just losing your hard earned weapons 30 seconds after you get it.)
2. I think there should be some kind of way for the survivors to win. I would suggest a time limit maybe. Or maybe a certain amount of zombies that have to be killed. And I'm not sure if you've done this already, but it'd be nice if you could make a way for the survivors to win if they got to a certain point on the map, that way there could be some nice potential for some maps. Also, for when zombie players is enabled, maybe make the objective for the zombies to kill all the survivors.
3. Don't make zombie players/survivors random. It just makes it kind of stupid and makes the gameplay feel pointless. I think something like having all the players start as survivors and then changing them to zombies if they die would make more sense.
4. Fix the whole "Zombies with weapons" thing.
5. More maps would be nice, but since you've released the fgd I'd hope that some custom maps should be released sometime.
6. Unbreakable barricades could probably create some problems.
7. I noticed the whole "****** bitch" thing in the console for deaths, I mean seriously, clean this up if you want to be taken seriously...
If you fixed this up a bit it could be pretty fun, good luck and I hope you do keep working on this.
to al the people who give this mod a 1 without even looking at it (You know who you are) stfu. Sure, the mod idea is kinda simple and all. But the creator wipped this mod out in 2 weeks. Thats incredibly fast for a small time, fun mod. So if you dont like it for some stupid reason, like the simplicity of the idea, then gtfo stupid haters.
