As we have begun development of Obsidian Edge 2 for Crysis, there has been a bit of renewed interest in the original Obsidian Edge mod for FarCry. As a result, I uploaded a couple of videos that have been available on our website for quite some time, for those that might be interested in seeing OE1.

You may also want to check out the direction we are going with Obsidian Edge 2 (also registered here on ModDB), one of the first mods that will be released for Crysis, as we work closely with Crytek to release just a month or two after the release of the base game. OE2 is one of two mods sponsored by Crytek for the game Crysis.

nice.. OE has a completely different gameplay vibe than stock farcry...MP bouts can built lots of tension and due to the nature of the maps you have to use your eyes AND ears to keep alert and survive. You can feel like either the hunter or hunted in this mod as your team mates slowly get picked off by that sneeky baystid sniper hiding in a tree. *Shakes fist.
Great mod with lots of content and nice code.
