This is a student project made in our senior year. We are Team Latent Image consisting of members:

The mod has seen it's v1.01 release! We have a small homepage at obscurathegame.info. Though the modDb is more fleshed out. You can currently download the game from the downloads section. This however isn't the end to our work on the mod. Since our artist was a junior and has other schoolwork to finish he's unable to help continue with progress on the mod. The game needs a bit of polishing for a couple technical bugs, but mostly we need some really great texture artists to really clean up the game. So if you're an artist familiar with the Source engine and are looking for a project contact us at the address below.

Okay! So we spent a little time fixing some bugs that came up in the comments and there's a patch/new version uploaded (instructions included)
Bug Fixes:
Level 1 Transfer crashing game
Level 1 Autosave near pit
Level 2 Losing Focus Mechanic
We've also normalized all the dialog (much louder now), and we updated the subtitle size so it's more readable.
Since the size doesn't scale we've included a howto on changing the size (it's literally changing 1 number if yo have the newest ver.)
We also have a new video! It shows off the mechanic of Obscura and a puzzle.
Again we are still seeking artists so message pointers-dev@wpi.edu or me personally on ModDB for info.

I briefly.....thank Christ......ONLY tried a few levels of this mod. I briefly tried the very beginnings of chapters 1, 2, and 3 before realizing what this mod was about and giving up on this 'drivel.'
My impressions are that "Obscura" is purely a 'psycho-therapy' mod...you are in some kind of an 'id subconscious' state of sorts and are being assisted in placing things in rooms that you enter by a female 'shrink.' There doesn't appear to be any combat in this mod or any real interest or purpose.
I am admittedly no fan of Sigmund 'Fraud'.....and I proudly admit that due to the fact that I AM intelligent......that I detest psychiatry with a passion: Psychiatry and anything related to it is a very unnatural 'atheist's invention' which is based on dehumanization, categorization, and 'half-truths.' It is absolutely NOT COINCIDENTAL that as America and the world has become more and more 'secular' and anti-religious and 'atheist'......that everything psychiatric-related has become extremely ubiquitous in every facet of society as though it was an extremely intelligent and effective science. Science replacing religion is one of many signs of a society that ironically is not 'evolving'.....but rather constantly 'de-evolving.' Society has never been stupider and will continue to become even more stupid till the very end...
I discarded this stupid mod after several minutes...
I rate "Obscura" a 2/10.
I know this is a old reply but i agree with you 100%. I managed to get a video sent to me from the late 70's regarding psychiatry. Doctors looked down on psychiatrist and said no way are they doctors or should be doctors. any way to cut a long story short psychiatrist were setup by pharmaceutical company's. That's the truth. Peace brother.
This mod needs more content.
It's crash 4 times out of 5..... every time i died and click a button for retry the same level.. you have same problems ?
This mod need to FIX..... it's continue to crash....
Otherwise i need a walkthrought for pass whitout cheat the point at level 6 whit a dress.. a bottle.. and whitout a pit...

How i can know the exact version i have installed ??? I have installed it by Desura.............
Need some help here. It stucks after I press New Game, at about half the loading bar and won't go further. Copied the patch w/files replacement.
That's the first mod I have troubles with.
Ok, I've made it work, but instead of arm as on a video there's nothing. Thus I can't replace objects. I can grab, but not point and replace.
What could be wrong?
Made it work. Just had to DL the SDK 2007 outa Steam.
