World famous Quake engine that sported new rendering methods such as Blueprint, Sketch, and painting. To use, load up nprQuake and in console, type: r_load sketch for sketching render.

Description

NPRQuake is, at its core, Win32 GLQuake. The drawing guts have been ripped out and placed in a number of Dynamic-Linked Libraries, but everything else has remained pristine and very true-to-Quake. Additional functionality was added to accomodate for our ripping of the drawing stuff, but none of the additions affect gameplay in any way. Basically, NPRQuake is GLQuake with different drawing routines.

How do you get this to work in a widescreen resolution? Is there an update on this? I can run everything Quake related (DarkPlaces, Quakespasm, Arcane Dimensions) but not this. It looks cool as hell!

this is based entirely on the original gl-quake source
it so needs ported to a new engine

I have a darkplaces fork called maphack
but the rendering pipeline in darkplaces is a lot more complex than gl-quake
