Nova Aetas is set in the world of Calradia, but in a later period. The Old Medieval World is vanishing. A new era is coming and you, the player, will experience this. Nova Aetas is Latin for A New Era. The main targets are realism & extended gameplay.

ARENA

Just like I said in our conversation in the PM, the arena is well presented, but the matches are awful, still native, lacks a soul, perhaps the crowd cheering at each hit or knock

Proposed arena improvement based on played mods on the theme, if ambitious enough:

Because of the uniqueness of the arenas.. perhaps you could create different tournaments, sword matches, joust matches, team matches, joust matches only for the most renowned knights and lords, sword matches/team matches for the lower classes

Jousts: You win more renown but less money, high reward chance depending on performance, no betting, you fight on saddle with a lance/sword against powerful opponents; Kings, lords, renowed champions. You use your own equipment/optional equipment given

Sword Matches: 1x1 or 2x2 type of matches, fully armoured knights using either two-handed swords or a sword a shield, lower reward chance for performance, low renown gain, low money, betting allowed. Hard opponents. Lower/upper classes. You use your own equipment/weapons given.

Team Matches, normal tournaments from native game, low renown, low money, no rewards, lower class, betting allowed, equipment given.

Perhaps you could also implement a standing system for these different matches, perhaps also a Archery Contest with rewards for skill and renown.

There is also:

"Windyplains Tournament Play Enhancements" mod.

STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!

More Criminal/Evil things to do.

We might be good people at heart, but our primal instinct of survival CAN and WILL dictate our actions one time our two during life, some people never get acquainted to it, others abhors their own doing.

-Allow low honour/villains to recruit cathars, looters, criminals and pirates those with their own troop tree, revealing a darker side play in the game.

-Allow Exortion, go to villages, talk to local leader, demand payment, depending on a number of variables, you get your pay depending on reputation/party lose reps with lord/village

-Allow Enslavery of villagers, instead of looting, you grab all those useless villagers and turn them into either prisioners or "slaves" and gaining a really bad rep with village and lord/faction

-Allow the organization of independent criminal bands, send them to raid villages on your behalf, you have to pay their high upkeep, but you get any goods they "politely confiscate" on the world and village, needs hideout -100 honour (guess it's the ultimate reward for being evil? Robber Barone :P)

Many of these criminal/evil things needs a player with at least -50 honour

-Create a Gang hideout inside cities and gain income depending on garrison inside the city, also a warehouse where thieves can store stolen items lose relations with town, it has a moderate upkeep and loss of relations with the city.

-Hire thieves and send them to cities to pickpocket/mug townies earning the player monthly incomes of stolen goods, they can also make sieges easier when stationed in these cities (Castles and villages have their own sets of things), they also collect information on the local nobles indiscretions so you can blackmail them if desired, moderate loss of relation, there is also a good chance of your thieves dying, low life expectancy.

-Build Hideout/Rogue Palace, to allow smuggling of illegal goods in cities (mostly stolen goods), hiring thieves/Henchmen troop tree, oversee overall operation in your crime empire

-Infiltrate Castles and steal weapons and armors from the local barracks with a rather big chance of getting caught, but if sucessful, able to get decent items of the garrison loss of relations with the castle and lord, if caught

-Kidnap lords (You can already do this, but you need to face an entire army, and it's not really covert), organize your thieves and give them a mission to kidnap selected lords on their sleep, this is only possible at night, actually a myriad of functions related to crime should only work at night. Very low life expectancy, faction/lord relations loss

-Gate Tolls once you have a Gang Hideout in a city and good relations with the lord of the city 30+ (must have emblezzer/shady trait, if not +60 and no honourable trait), you can put some of your gang members/henchmen in the gates to extort caravans/take goods from caravans going in the city, the Lord gets a 20% of the earnings, moderate piety/honour

Whilst playing Gengokujo beta version, they added these things:

- Ability to beg for money from townspeople and villagers
- Ability to pickpocket and mug townspeople and villagers
- Ability to stalk townspeople and villagers and to burglarize their homes and places of work

And it works quite well.

These criminal actives are all every cool, but they have consequences, those being the weekly loss of piety, honour, with a good chance of gaining bad traits per operations.

Good community/mod makers, mas you already have the ability to make extra buildings in villages and cities, maybe you could introduce the manor option as in the A.D. 1257 mod it would be a good addon to increase overall relation in the village/town its attached to and would be able to make you more money.

Also for the farm you get to make in your camp what would be really cool is say for example your a really poor person at start maybe you could add the option (in all versions) to start the farm and the more wheat the sell the richer the farm gets; when it gets to a certian wealth you can give us the option to make it a village, bring settlers to the village etc etc, then do the same building for the villages e.x. catholic church then finally make it a town, that would make the mod even more better introducing more ways to open up into the Nova Aetas world and give players more of a chance to make ther own kingdoms and give us more than 1 option to make a farm.

One more thing could you add an expanded recruiting option like in the gameplay version of the floris mod, because it would be cool to have a more expanded army and it would be nice to see more on the agonic, along with this maybe you could add a sieging system like in the new bannerlord ( if its possible to do) add to were you can make trebuchets and attack a certain part of the wall while creating a diversion for the garrison, you could have an optoin to 'surround' the city/castle and have it a greater way to attack cities and add more to the garrison say 1k this would be great. Thank You, Dumacracy(Cameron)

-I have played the game and after a week I think, Merchants of Zendar Army Defeated the Sarranids!!! in which I was a soldier in the Sarranid Army. To be honest, they needs to be Balanced. They were killing the Sarranids like dolls. so simply balance their powers and Make Merchant of Zendar Army Protective not aggressive.

-Add more ways to the game to make money, like begging the citizens and others..
Buidings from The Camp Menu:-
-I like the Idea of Making A Village. then by the time and the services you offer the Village as money and slaves and so on. The Village will get Upgrading Offer for being a small town and so on until a City. in which it is hard for u maybe but will be cool!
-Maybe not only a farm but be able to make Pasture to herd animals and sell milk and their other stuffs, and even selling your animals too.
-As well making others like Date Farm.
-Make an Icon for that Farm pls, no more a Training Place Icon. If your problem is modelling the Icon. I can make it!
-and maybe making an options to make Bridges and setting payment on it :D. just and Idea! and more seriously, Building Well and gaining Prestige and honor based on the payment you require from the people who wants to drink, maybe you want it to be free and gaining a lot of Honor and Faith.

Other:
-After Crafting your Masterpiece in a City, You can't start Mastering other Jobs in the City. pls fix this
-I can't remember anymore :D But I will post anything else later.

Can I have an option to adjust that brown effect on the screen, or possibly turn it off. It's hard sometimes to see what's actually happening sometimes especially in a night battle.Atleast on my my laptop it is. But overall great game, I dont see any major flaws though it's heavy on the graphics card.

I love how much content this adds to the M&B Calradia universe. I am pleasantly surprised at how deep things like the social aspects of the game go. All of this lead me to probably my only quip: the faction unit trees seem lackluster in comparison. Any chance for something like the Floris-type "expanded" unit trees being added in the future?

I would really like to see the option of not advancing in tech and the ability to build your kingdom from the ground up like the ability to create villages, towns and more castles
