Nova Aetas is set in the world of Calradia, but in a later period. The Old Medieval World is vanishing. A new era is coming and you, the player, will experience this. Nova Aetas is Latin for A New Era. The main targets are realism & extended gameplay.

Whoa whoa whoa

Are you telling me you can expand your cities?

How did you manage to do this??

Oh and will there be usable cannon defenses?

I wanna go all Ultima Runes of Virtue II when defending my city

It's very hard to make the changes visible to the town itself. Every town has its own unique siege scene. This problem can be solved by adding culture-specific scenes. With other words: one scene per culture. But that would take away immersion of unique scenes and throw away a large part of gameplay value.

OMG. I hope that this mod will go one step further than other mods and will give us option to actually see and visit those buildings while walking on the streets instead of just managing them in text version. Much hopes in this awesome mod :)

Actually it's currently part of the game. If you build a church, you'll see the church at the church square. If you construct a tavern, you'll see the tavern in the town.

But I am planning to remove the new town models from the game to make the game load faster.

I accidentally deleted a message here instead of clicking on reply, my apologies for that. The question was "Do you know when v4.0 will be released?".

The answer is that the summertime is a good estimate. v4.0 truly requires a lot of work. For example this feature. I am planning to add 64 buildings. But building a gothic cathedral in the desert is obviously ridiculous. So I need to add 64 buildings * 4 culture = 256 building cards, titles and descriptions.

By the way if you have some good suggestions for a building, just let me know!

Just want to say, your mod tramps all other mods, this is no longer an opinion, plain damn fact. You should start your own game making firm by getting the taleworlds to buy you out for a start up sum. Cool buildings would be if you built in several rivaling/synergetic guilds (business clubs) per city so one may immerse ones self into an alternative politics. Imagine: 2 levels of lords and ladies, two simoultaneous games of thrones.. Though i appreciate that this can only be a long term goal considering that you even like the idea..

Hehe I should have listened to my heart. I played Medieval II and I truly belief it's the best game around here. Its concepts are unrivalled. Total War however decided to follow another path. If Total War doesn't do what I want, I'll do it myself!

after almost 2 years of watching this mod develop and playing it, its safe to say you need a god damn vacation after this. After a while will you think about getting this put as a standalone like how Caribbean did? To be honest id be willing to pay the 20-40 dollars to play this.

In fact I use my vacations to work onto Novs Aetas. Especially during summer time. Nova Aetas will stay being a mod. The rights of selling Warband elements are of course in hands of Taleworlds.

In order to comply with people's willingness to donate, I've added a donation button. But I'll never let people pay for Nova Aetas. It's a piece made by various people and for various people.

Thank you so much for watching this mod for 2 years already. When Bannerlord comes out, I'll also try to make a mod for this game.

Ever since it apeared on moddb iv been watching it since i was so into the 1400-1600s and this mod was the only one that would come near, turns out not only did it end up being good, but it has surpassed many mods that where considered the best and the first to implement a technology system the can make a game go from mostly swordsmen and crossbow men, to having an army of 230 Musket men and having to use line battle tactics instead (Trust me it works) '

To be honest, bannerlord doesnt look like it will be out this year, there is no news on an estimated quarter nor year, so you have all the time in the world to perfect this mod beyond what you have done here.

If you ever need help with either Ideas, research or just simply doing the descriptions for buildings and dialog's for people i can help. I might not be able to program and add in new features like you have done but i'm willing to help if it can make things easier on you.

If Bannerlord wouldn't be released until december or later, it would alleviate stress to release Nova Aetas. There're lots of work to be done. If you're willing to help, you should contact me on Taleworlds forum. Thanks a lot.

I'm... really liking this mod.

Massive Medieval 2 fan and a massive Warband fan. Now that you have combined the two my balls are tingling. But I definitely approve of any decision you make to remove any clutter in load times, I wasn't a big fan of the multiple sections of a Town that took a notable moment to load.

Wait, so your balls tingled in excitement? Is that like the male version of make someone wet? Why have i not heard of this function. But ya Medieval 2 Total war was a masterpeice, though i am ****** they made Rome 2 then attila and now warhammer after they could remake the god of their series. Ok Rome 2 is ok now since its a bit better and Attila has AoC so its pretty close to that time. But Warhammer? Come on, the second most voted for a new TW game back in 2013 was Medieval 3 right under Rome 2.

Yeah, Empire being the worst of all. I conquered all of France within 3/4 turns. What I hate is that game developers tend to remove features from games. Family tree, MII building menu and more.
And Warhammer is just too much of a joke to talk about.

Man, this is really awesome, really..
Personally, I think those ideas about "enter the buildings, see the changes in all the cities" are innecesary, I think you should concentrate on making the mechanics, I mean, make powerfull management and playable features, not make 3D models (that could make the proccess REALLY slower than making all 2D)..

You could make background buildings, so if you improve/upgrade/build something you'll see the changes: -at the background (skybox system alike) -changing textures or moving furniture to make things look better.

Another feature I really want (and NEVER seen in a mod like this), is an "inherit mod" implemented, would be amazing to have a family, it would be great along with honour and renown improvements I think..

Thx for this man, Im not telling you what to do, cause I know its hard, and also not all its possible, youre the autor, the coder, so you do what you think is better :D

I fully agree with you, Niko. My next mod will have a focus on mechanics.

The problem with this is that I need to add more than hundreds of lords/ladies to reflect a span of centuries (inheriting thrones, families, kids).
