Nova Aetas is set in the world of Calradia, but in a later period. The Old Medieval World is vanishing. A new era is coming and you, the player, will experience this. Nova Aetas is Latin for A New Era. The main targets are realism & extended gameplay.

Monks back than would not complain because they are writing in the Books/Word of God remember? They would also whip themselves in self punishment and lay on the ground in the shape of the Holy Cross as a sign of good faith or something.

This is absolutely brilliant. Warband's modding community has gotten seriously impressive in the last few years but Nova Aetas' content tops pretty much everything out there. Don't please say that Taleworlds hasn't ever contacted you.

I remember watching that movie. The mysteries of how all those Monks died because of one book that gave them black dots or something. A curse of some sort.

It is based on the boom by Umberto Eco "The Name of the Rose". The story involves the investigation of some really shady assassinations inside an abbey.
There is a famous retro game, called "The abbey of crime" that is also inspired on the book.
Yes and three of them ended up being burnt at the stake because they were accused of witchcraft. Although two of them were saved from the flames because they were innocent. Only one was left burning. But as strange as it seems, I think none of them was the murderer. It might have been something paranormal but who knows, maybe it was one of them. There are over a million possibilities of what could have happened to those monks who died mysteriously.
