Normandy '44: European Theater combines a higher level of realism with a more elaborate doctrine system, which incorporates almost 50 different military units that took part in the period of Jun-Sept 1944. This spectrum ranges from divisions of free Polish and French units serving under the main allied armies to volunteers from the Eastern Front that served in the German Wehrmacht. This is only a small portion of the doctrine variety however, as we feature numerous well known units of all factions as well. The mod also features numerous new abilities and custom made units each with a completely revamped size and structure. Between custom made units and structures with historically correct skins, Normandy '44 offers over 150 NEW UNITS, making for an almost endless variety of different scenarios and unit actions. Combined these factors provide for an experience unlike any other mod for CoH!
Here are the 7 different Panther Tanks we have in the mod. As with all other skins, they match the divisions they represent and they were involved on the Western Front in 1944.
Achtung! Schwere Panzer berichterstattung!
It's great, so much skins. But how will it work? Will each recruited tank have a different (random) skin?
It isn't random, each camo corresponds to a specific division.
same question as justus
And this is WAY better then PEs grey skin
Tehnloss is correct.
To be more specific, in the mod we have divisions (doctrines) and subdoctrines (divisions/regiments/etc...) withing divisions to choose from. So, depending on which division (doctrine) you pick and which subdoctrine you pick, one of these will/may (some divisions/sub docs have no panthers ie Wehr 709 ID has none in thier doc or thier 3 subdocs as they are all mainly infantry division based).
Check out our tutorial or guide to see more details or even our features which shows all the different divisions represented, but all the divisions (doctrines) served an important role on the Western Front in 1944 and all the subdoctrines chosen worked with the divisions they are set with.
Hope that helps - and the simple answer would be all are buildable - no randomness (but I strongly suggest reading our features and guides to see just how in depth we get :) )
Thanks for your answer! This mod seems really good at first glance and this historical correctness is the icing on the cake. My compliments to Georider for the skins btw, they are sublime.
All these Panzers have specific division colors .The cammo versions try to be more accurate based on modeling books and real photos of june 1944
That, BTW, is Georider - one of our ALL-STAR skinners, responsible for most skins in the mod and all of the Panthers above :)
no tigers tank? they were in normany as well...?
