Please, make a collaboration whit MISERY, GUNSLINGER, The Armed Zone, Call of Chernobyl.

Your project it may be the best mod of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.m but not only the graphic is important.

This was a scam . They should have made cooperation with GSC first and foremost , at least asking for permission ( and chance to get permission would be very very slim or none ) - they made an indiegogo campaign , yet havent clarified the legal status of the project . It was obvious why this project was dead even before it began , it was meant only to milk money from poor naive STALKER fans . If there will ever be STALKER 2 , either it will be made by GSC , or we will know when GSC sells rights to someone else ...

Scam? Stalker chapters have already sold a lot of copies (much before Call of Chernobil came out), and GSC Game World had so much free advertising from the modders, which should almost divide the company with them, considering that many users have bought the title just to play the mods, or for make mods. Do not forget that developers are most often tied to publishers, and publishers do not like players playing too much on a game, otherwise they do not buy a new one - this is a scam! - and comes from all video game publishers.

Think for a moment to the development teams, developed as if they were a publisher (that is, they take developers and deprive them of every decision-making power), Bethesda, and the video games Fallout 4 and Skyrim, where they want to earn percentages from mods sales, in addition to the title sold, in addition to the DLCs, would seem to want to prolong the time on works, instead of hanging them:

in their own way (publisher),

controlled by them (publisher),

with the price decided by them (publisher).

However, the video game is a great pleasure, mainly: for the developer, the player and the modder... despite this unmistakable reality, the three major, main(!), interested concerned are set aside, and the decision-making powers completely moved to the publishers, which in most cases ruin the video game; they hasten development, for the market choices, for lack of initial economic availability... interests that corrupt the rights from the three major concerned, of which these three, are not responsible.

Guest - I do not get from where all these rumours spawn ? GSC NEVER sold their IP on STALKER . Not to Bethesda , not to ( now defunct ) BitComposer . It was all a rumours .

TOVOT - not sure what youre trying to say here . GSC is a rightful owner of STALKER franchise , it is theirs IP and anything associated to it that makes profit for other companies and people is pretty much theft . Youre trying to tell that they should ignore some scammers that try to profit on unaware fans ? What youre trying to tell is not linked to GSC owning STALKER rights at all , do not put GSC and Bethesda in same basket , as theyre not the same .

GSC was a publisher for CIS region for all three games , on worldwide level those were Deep Silver , Bitcomposer ( former ) and THQ ( former ) .

The above "mod" , "Noises of the Zone" , which is not a mod and is a new game made on CryEngine , but using fully STALKER story and even assets from the game for PROFIT ( as seen on failed indiegogo campaign that wanted to raise 60 000 $ ) is not legit . Not sure what people expected that will happen with this , else from failure , cancellation and CID letter sent to authors ...

Please don't spread disinformation. This project is not Stalker 2 and it does not use Stalker story. It is obviously heavily inspired by Stalker. So we don't need any permission from GSC, and we don't use their assets. These early videos were just short presentation, nothing else.
Btw, i'm the member of this team.

@ANCIENT/Noises of the Zone staff: Since you are asking for funding, please maybe make some formal announcement of your team and the goals of the project. I'm keen to donate but I (and probably many others) would feel more comfortable donating once we get to know more about the team and the project. I've seen more activity on your Facebook page than here but still, the whole project seems a bit of a mystery.

As you said, the videos were demonstration videos and I gathered if you were using assets from GSC they were just placeholders but since there's no information provided, it's hard for people to know anything about what it is or isn't.

It looks amazing and it's clear to me a hell of a lot of time and effort is going into this, but you guys really need to be a bit more professional if you're looking for funding.

I sincerely hope you guys achieve your goals, it'll only help you guys out, and above all, the community.

If you are truly a member of the team as you claim , then you should know you cannot use any assets from GSC and anything related to STALKER IP . You are , OBVIOUSLY from the videos posted , using HUD , models and big parts of the lore for a profit . Also - "STALKER : Noises of the Zone" ? That isnt IP theft ?

As far as I see - you are scammers , so dont try to put a glitter on top of that . You wouldnt promote this project of yours as related to STALKER in any way if you are even remotely serious about it . In case you dont know what IP rights are ... well , you should have informed about that much earlier before you started the indiegogo campaign .

We do not use assets from STALKER. These videos are from one member who created them before joining this team, as a fan of STALKER. That's it.
Name STALKER is not GSC property. But the name of the project is changed to "Noises of The Zone" now.
Also i can create my Zone which can be very similar to STALKER Zone. That's because almost all assets that GSC created use real life objects as concept. These objects are not GSC property and i can create my own using them also as concept.

The problem here is that these guys did not know what this will be, a mod or a new game. So they did make a mistake here.
I'm newest member of this team, i joined a month ago. If i was team member from the beginning, thing would be different. And i'm not a scammer.

Btw, here is my STALKER 2 concept video. And there's no STALKER assets here.

that is just a bloke running around an empty level shooting puddles. not much of a concept.
where are the a life, anomalies, buildings?
just dubbing some stalker music on does not make it a concept.
you must think we are idiots.

The fact is still , those videos were posted here as a visible proof that STALKER assets and IP were used . And that was all during the indiegogo campaign , which asked for 60 000 $ ( and made 207 $ , lol ) . That means that project was trying to make profit based on STALKER assets . At least that was what was shown to the public . And there was no clarification to legal status of the project - despite many members ( including me ) calling out devs to do it , so we could get a guarantee this wasnt a scam . As that didnt happened - this was a scam .

The above video you posted I saw for first time - there was not a single word or link anywhere about it . You can create your own game that is SIMILAR to STALKER , based on Zone . Escape from Tarkov is an example of such game ( altough , definetly different from STALKER franchise as in MP oriented ) . But any assets used is a different story - you can create your own assets , The Chernobyl exclusion zone is not a "copyrighted" territory , lol ... something like that wouldnt even have sense or be possible at all ...

So , what are you telling here are two different projects - one failed , because it never was clarified , and that project asked 60 000 $ for a project that DEFINETLY used STALKER assets . And then we have above project , that clarifies that no STALKER assets will be used .

Unfortunately , as you said , that is a HUGE mistake of the guys who started the mod - if they clarified it on time , things could have been different .

Honestly , from my POV , I think these guys just wanted to scam people . Not necessarily you now , as you explained your status . But whole project smelled , looked and tasted like pure scam .

Wish you a success with your current project , and hopefully team that knows what they do ... and that informs and plans on time .

The Preacher - Unfortunately your predictions, it might be correct. I writing, "unfortunately", because it is clear and evident, that the original graphic and gaming engine of the STALKER titles, can not compete with to Cryengine. I just hope, this time, to choose the best way for everyone, instead of the least worse for some (the present).

Old X-Ray ( with all of its upgrade versions and variants for mods ) is unstable , limited , and pretty much like a vase broken in thousand pieces . Despite all of that , it does some things that I have never seen in other engines done properly . The main thing is atmospheric lightning , and the shadows that are superior in every aspect . Today , in late 2017 , I havent found same game in such scope with such effects . I think , if we would ever see X-Ray 2.0 as fully functional engine in STALKER 2 , it would probably rise a bar even higher . On the other hand , every single CryEngine game I have seen was only an eye-candy , nothing else . The engine was never used to full potential , and I dont think it will .

CryEngine is nice - but UE4 is easier and has even more potential . There is one fully free , open sourced engine that is supposed to even surpass the current Unity - that engine is Godot 3.0 . So , there are many ways to go ... I just hope that GSC will either revive the whole franchise through hype , then start a massive kickstarter project to raise as much funds as needed - or that they sell the IP to someone else , hopefully someone who will not kill the franchise . I would wish for GSC to keep the franchise , make kickstarter , and ask main STALKER modders if theyre willing to join the team temporarily as outer contract worker ( sort of , outsource a lot of work ) . That would speed up the whole process , make chances for great game much higher , and overall give a superior work , at least temporarily , to many people . They could even possibly go with fixed freelancer type competitions , where best of the best would be chosen ( example : making new artefacts or equipment ) . I wouldnt mind if they make DLCs for the game - unlike Bethesdas games , or similar , it would be fully plausible to expand the game further that way .

Even Blender (open source) seems rather promising, and there are a lot of tutorials on the internet in many languages; look this:

And also ... the potential of UE4 , very nice , sharp , atmospheric and close to STALKER atmosphere ... Youtu.be
