No one can recall quite how it happened, but at some point there was another world war and after the bombs fell, the Earth was left in ruins. The former Yugoslavian republic of Serbia suffered massive devastation to it's land, but the great capital of Belgrade although damaged severely, had survived the conflict...

Description

Here you can see the houses as they are, with no lighting or extras. 100% brush-made, these houses have been setup to act like static-meshes much in the same way as modelled buildings in modern games are put together and inserted into a scene. The reason I did this was because making individual houses to be completely unique in each location would be too much work and the player wouldn't pay enough attention with events going on anyway.

They are all empty inside so the interiors can be made different each time with different textures for both the outsides and the inside (I plan on making a few variations that will fit each house) and objects can be added onto the exterior too. Some of the textures here are not finished entirely and will likely be subject to change.
I may add some more detail in the future but it all depends on how "busy" the scene is.

I'm currently making some more damaged and ruined house variations to go with these too.

I did a lot of research and gathered several photos to get the look and feel of the traditional Serbian houses, I also used several photos to make the textures from the ground up. Quite pleased with how they've turned out!

Here are some of my references for comparison;
