The modification is called "Breakthrough is impossible" it almost does not relate to the half life plot and is not canonical. In it, I want to tell one alternative story to everyone of the famous doctor. Freeman will have to get out of the underground research complex of the combine in which something went wrong. In the first part of the modification, we will not see opponents (at least living). Who knows what could kill them or force them to kill themselves. At the beginning, the doctor will have to start the reactor of the complex so that the doors can function and the freeman will not have to crawl through ventilation and sewage (yes! there will be variation of passage!).
