What happens when SWAT4 meets Left4Dead? The game gets scary!
Improved Single Player tweaks L4D to give the player a challenging single player survival/tactical game, basic bot commands, and spawns customization.
Improved Single Player works with any L4D official or custom map/campaign.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES:
- no glow
- no crosshair (enable it by pressing "I")
- minimal HUD
- realistic recoil (in development, needs feedback)
- reworked damage and ammo
- reworked spawns
- stronger commons
SPAWNS CUSTOMIZATION:
K - specials spawns (OFF/ON)
J - mobs spawns (ON/OFF)
BOT COMMANDS:
ALT - HOLD POSITION (ON/OFF)
6 - HOLD FIRE (ON/OFF)
F3 - switch survivor
Finales can be really hard: remember to put the group on "hold position", take control of each survivor (F3) and move it to the most convenient place (sniper on the roof, shotguns by the ladders, etc...) before triggering the event.
A L4D2 version also does exist: Improved Single Player Reloaded.

How to install?
Hope this is still played by someone.
I loved the game and always wished it had a good single player survival campaign, and at some point i decided to mod it to match my taste (that was four years ago, but now im back to the game and improving the mod).
This is the result, hope you like it!
The mod makes use of "bind" commands to issue orders to the survivors, so it could overwrite your binds; to fix this, simply reset keybinds to default.
Let me know what you think about it and what could make it better.
