This is my first mod, a small but ambitious one. This mod focuses on expanding Warband with bits of my personal taste while using Diplomacy as base, attempting to add more content, from gear to factions and possibly (if I'm able to do it) new mechanics. I'm not attempting to make a gigantic and complete overhaul like mods as Floris, Nova Aetas or Medieval Conquests, but still someting big enough that cannot be considered an addon. Right now the mod is bare-bones and I'm doing my baby-steps on modding this game, I beg pardon and patience to anyone wanting to give this mod a try.

Greetings everyone, today I want to announce some big news regarding the mod.

  • For starters, the name of the mod is gonna change about the update system, before, I was only thinking to make 4 updates: pre-alpha, alpha, beta and final-release. However, this would mean that it would take a lot of time for in between updates, plus, my state right now is kinda far from the pre-alpha expectations I set to myself. So I have decided to change into a puntuary system of updates, meaning the updates won't follow the stages previously mentioned, but rather going by numers and letters (0.1a, 0.1b, 0.2, etc.). The version 0.1a that I will be the first edition of the mod that I will add, which will include all the new troops for the vanilla factions, the new items added and the re-added companions (as the mod has transitioned form the 1.66 to the 1.71 version of Warband).
  • The mod is *likely* to change of name in the near future, I haven't decided yet, the main reason being for security ones, I fear about having my nickname on the title, plus, it makes me feel horrible by feeding my ego like that.
  • The mod progression will now be the following: for now, the vanilla factions will be the ones tweaked and changing, after that will be followed by addition of the newer factions, companions and items, and for last, the map modding will start and also the cosmetic changes (better tournaments, more populated taverns, etc.)
  • And lastly, as some you may recall, originally the mod was gonna have an OST/soundtrack of its own, but because I fear that I would be targeted by copyright and other nonsense I decided to make the list of songs separated, the mod by itself will still use the vanilla OST, however, I have made some custom playlists for Youtube and Spotify for the mod, one filled with medieval music and classical music for you ambiental hipsters, and another one filled with metal tunes forged by the gods of metal; You can get the "original medieval mix" playlist on my youtube channel here and the "ad calrades metallum" playlist here, on Spotify, you can find the playlists by the same name; mind all of you, the spotify playlists have more songs and better quality, since all the songs aren't available on youtube and some are, well, from old vids and have crappy quality.

Keep tuned for the new content that will be announced soon!

Bad news. I'm kinda busy with many things, trying to finally get my driving permit, finding a job, etc. I can't dedicate a lot of time to the mod :\ this doesn't mean is dead, but don't expect any progress soon. So, this mod is frozen on a hiatus, sorries again.

My apologies if nothing came up in the last weeks, I'm burned out and feeling like not modding nor looking at videogames at all, I'm frustrated that I got turned down in a couple of job offers, and, recovery exams are on the horizon, maybe I may do some small things and update some info, but don't expect much in this month, my deepest apologies.

Maybe I will make an edition with vanilla-style troop trees for the factions so it will support Custom Troop Trees.

Don't know about the first one. The mod uses the last version of Diplomacy as base.

Could you make the companions have better armor and weapons when hired but they would cost more or you could add the companion upgrade system like in other big mods, i may be asking for much since you said this mod small but ambitious and i think the description of this mod reached it's goal.

I had plans to make some companions like more prepared in terms of gear and also experience, I had this idea for example with two of the newer companions: Marcolier and Kashkan. However, I was thinking, for example, to change the gear of some of the vanilla companions, mainly Bunduk, Rolf, Lezalit and Matheld, Bunduk for being a former soldier and going mercenary, Rolf because it would be at least attempting to pretend to be a noble with some decent armour rather than, you know, a leather jerkin, Lezalit is an army trainer so he would have something on rather than fancy clothing and Matheld, well, she's on her quest for reclaiming her husband's hall.
