Mount & Blade:Freelancer gives the player the option to immerse themselves in combat between the Lords of Calradia serving on the front line, you are no longer the commander YOU serve your Lord as a soldier. You will gain experience in your commanders army and as you gain rank you will acquire better equipment, if you're hungry the quartermaster will feed you. You will gain respect from fellow soldiers and have the option to Rebel against the commander or Desert your post. When all the fighting gets too much for you or you need to conduct your own personal business take some personal leave. The mod is always in development to make your experience as a soldier feel as real as possible, remember it's not easy being a pleb! Back to the Front! Modmerger source is and will be available for other modders to include Freelancer in their own mods with each version release. -G

The original module files we had for Freelancer 1.5 have been lost in a hard drive failure BuT we still have the last known version of Freelancer source code in Modmerger format. I will shortly again release the last known version this time with a fresh M&B Warband Module system and the Freelancer modmerger files. Also I will try and put together a copy of the compiled module and release it as Freelancer 1.6 as it contains fixes made by the Floris teams Cabad'rin (Taleworlds Forum Name).
Nords with Guns will most likely take up the Freelancer mantle again once the game Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is released. For now we will be working on a new standalone offshoot of Freelancer as Freelancer: Born To Serve.

why i cant see any lord in castle/town ?

Does anyone know how can I tweak the experience/time needed to raise in rank as a freelancer? I became top tier way too fast without joining any battle, and I'm level 1.

I have the same problem as everyone else; Lords will not show up inside castles, only Ladies do. If somebody has a fix or if the mod developer could update the mod i would appreciate it.
Why can't I retire from the army? Not at war, lord disposition is over 20, been in for a couple in game months. Keeps saying I need to prove myself when I want leave and that he still needs my service when I try to retire. It's irritating.
uhm, try the worst scene. revolt your commander eventough you will be hunted. and just pay some money for making peace with them if you really want to be with that faction
