Are traders getting cheap on us? Thread - The Armed Zone mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

I've noticed this for a while, but I can't help but wonder if its a bug.

Traditionally, Traders sell you guns that are full to capacity. But with TAZ, I witnessed something new. You not only buy empty guns, but they're still advertised as fully loaded!

I don't think I've ever seen this before. Probably not even in base Misery, unless this is something they started doing in the latest version. It's false advertisement, I tell ya. It's a relatively minor gripe on the scale of things. One can just buy ammo, right? But in some cases, that ammo's damned pricey. I'd ignored it until now, when Bonesetter finally decided to offer up an RPG & an RG-6 for sale. I had more than enough, so why not? Both were advertised with warhead attached and fully loaded with 6 VOGs - their empty & loaded weight amounts have been familiar numbers in my head for the past decade. Naturally, both were sold to me, unlocked & unloaded. Friggin' bait & switch. Another 20 Gs I gotta spend just to load them up.

Is this something you guys are familiar with?

I've never noticed any notice or advertisement about a gun being sold loaded, and guns being sold empty is Misery's latest feature. You have a screenshot for the loaded guns ad you mentioned?

This is true, when you point cursor onto weapon in traders' window the weight will be shown for loaded weapon for some reason. If I'm not mistaken in vanilla STALKER you actually did get a full mag of ammo with each gun bought, but in MISERY you always buy only empty weapons. This is not changed in TAZ and the bug is leftover from vanilla. I don't know what is responsible for it, but since the issue is minor (and for some it might not be issue at all, as when comparing weapons you choose you probably want to know it's weight loaded, that's the proper value for practical use)

The script MDT made works after you buy the gun, it does not put empty guns on traders' inventory, but rather loaded guns. So as soon as you click buy the gun is instantly emptied and transferred to your inventory. This is something to take up with MDT if it's really that serious, I personally don't give too much damn about it, if I see a gun I like, I buy it no matter the cause or weight.

Hmm, so it is Misery's doing after all. Ahh well, not really our concern then, and its still a minor concern in all cases anyways. Just whatever they can to make things more miserable, even the little things people might not notice.

Yeah I don't think it's a problem at all to be honest, and anyway it feels logical to me that you buy an empty gun, keeping all guns loaded in your shop would be a really reckless behavior;)
