Got a question why is this file needed, I use dark mode but it worked without this patch, what does it do?

It affects the start up positions and times. Not 100% sure though :P

Will this work with the Steam version?
The directory there shows no gamedata or addon folder. So nothing gets overwritten like indicated in the description above.
