Probably not that long :P . But don't worry, there are awesome locations throughout Middle Earth and you will get plenty of them throughout development releases. ;)

Actually Rohan will be our first region in Skyrim, so you should see screenshots pretty soon if the port to Skyrim goes through. Right now we still don't have the necessary tools to create our world, but everything looks good so far.

Can't wait to defend the walls from a GIANT URUK-HAI horde, fighting by Theoden side

Can't wait to kill every last Rohirrim and elf that defend Helm's Deep, following the Uruk-Hai commanders

It would be freaking awesome to decide your path in Middle Earth, just like in the "Unification of Skyrim" I wouldn't know which side to choose, both are so cool...

@Holgof: we're planning to follow the book's take on the Battle of the Hornburg, where Isengard's forces had more then just Uruk-hai (Orcs, Half-Orcs, Dunlendings, Wolf Riders, etc).

Also we currently aren't planning on evil playable races for initial release, nor the option to join the big evil factions like Isengard and Mordor. That doesn't mean we don't want to include evil playable races in later releases (I know I sure do!), but they're a way's off.

Yeah... except you won't ever see a battle of such scale in Oblivion. Nor in Skyrim, I'm afraid. It'll kill your CPU. Mount&Blade is a game more suited for such a task and as a matter of fact Warband lacks quality lotr mods. Roleplay element, however is on this game's side. If there was a way to combine the large scale battles and the awesome battle mechanics of M&B with the RPG elements of TES... I think I'd literally die.

@neigenoire: You do know that we are looking to try to create (or at the very least look like) actual large-scale battles for MERP in Skyrim, right? ;)

There IS a good Lotr mod for Mount&Blade. It's named 'The Last Days (of the Third Age)' and it's not bad!

True, but the last days is just for regular mount and blade, not for warband...

@shaga1: You really think we would create a Helm's Deep model for MERP Oblivion and NOT try porting it over to MERP Skyrim? :P
