It wasn't until the construction of the new Nuclear Converter facilities begun, and the realization the Soviet navy lacks an effective way to strike targets at the shores hit, that this project could be presented in a new light. Armed with inventive cannons, spewing highly corrosive nuclear waste at its targets, the new Soviet boat laid waste to unsuspecting coastal defense forces.
Eventually, the Reaper Corvette has reinforced all of the Soviet armies - the first of amphibious ships, but most likely not the last.

Ah... an alternate universe Stingray
I think it should be called Stingray like in RA3 to avoid confusion, since it's pretty much the same thing; except for the speed debuff on land.
It's shooting nuclear shells not tesla energy bolts tho. Stingray's whole pun is that it's electric and aquatic like the stingrays, it's just not the same without electricity.
Reaper also just sounds better, and goes along well with someSoviet units being named after religious/tsarist icons.

You could have a telsa version feature in old missions as an easteregg or one time throw away unit. Immediate thought is the mission where epsilon steals the lasher tank - have a few tesla reapers lying around.
