Hello, I hope you're all having a nice Christmas and that you're doing fine, it's time to finally release the new version. I tried to fix some of the bugs that the previous version had and I also added many new things. I hope you will enjoy what you download, read the description for more information on content/installation/notes please.
INSTALLATION:
just unpack with WinRar/7zip/IZArc and throw the Mass Effect folder in your mods folder; in order to keep using the mod when the game updates you'll need to modify the "mod.info" file and change the MaxGameVersion "3.260.0" to the version of the update (change the number in the "....."). Then go in the game options, in the MODS section, select it and activate it.
CHANGES:
I added many things, most of them are the ones listed in this article, but you can also check the images to see new factions/vehicles, overall here is a quick breakdown of the most important ones:
- Varrens added
- new construction/rocks entities
- some new weapons (see the KNOWN BUGS/ANOMALIES section)
- many new vehicles (Praetorians, Geth drones and transports)
- many new skins (vorchas, quarians, etc...)
- parts of some factions such as N7, Asari, Salarians
KNOWN BUGS/ANOMALIES:
Some weapons haven't been scripted in detail yet (they don't do special damage, etc..) such as the N7 ones, that's because I didn't have the time to script them to act like in the ME games. Also some vehicles may act strangely, again that's because I didn't have the time to create X and XX models for them.
There may be some minor issues (like the bazookers moving around for no reason, some skins don't use the random texmod script yet), but I intend to fix them after I added voices for the major factions I intend to add, as well as adding more infantry types. Keep in mind this is the first release, so be gentle ;)

the only complaint that i have right now is that all of the weapons besides reapers use the geth shot. they all look like plasma bolts firing. but besides that this is probably the best mod out there :D
Thanks! And yeah it may look plain, but that's the way weapons are in the ME games, I can try to make some new effects tho, if there are other people who agree with you.
Well in ME 1 the thermal rounds were slightly blue :D lol im a me lover myself. but yea the rounds are blue for most thermal clip using weapons. hmmm if i knew anything about modding id try to do some myself lol. but if you could make the normal rounds like cerberus's for example but tint them blue that would be better for ppl with slower systems as well. idk if it's possible but just a thought :D
I preferred the old effects of like the M8 Avenger from the last version myself. If I knew how to do that stuff, I would change it myself. But great mod. I uploaded the Citadel Species vs Reapers and Collectors battle.

Hey guys, I was testing this masterpiece of a mod and noticed the Vindicator used the Avenger sound. Long story short I've managed to make/edit a Vindicator sound, maybe you guys want to hear it out and tell me what you think.

the version is 3.260.0 and is already the maxgameversion. Or do you mean the version of the mass effect mod 0.1?
If you can't use the mod on the current AS2 version you'll need to open up the mod.info file with notepad and change the number between the "" after MaxGameVersion:

Change that to the current version's number AS2 is at the moment (see that on Steam or by hovering the file "mowas_2" with your mouse, in your AS2 installation folder).

It freezes on Editor when I fire the weapons.
Never happened to me, only on non existent maps (no terrain)
For some reason, when I try to pull up the Alliance Base or the Swamp on the Editor, it pops up with an error "APP_ERROR: File not found = resource/properties/shadows/marine.inc. Searched high and low for it from the downloaded file but couldn't find it.
