Hi guys.
Well bad news. I will probably have to delate this mod.
I contacted EA, lucasart, and Disney to know if I was able to take inspiration from their game (the old republic).
And they said : no.
So if anyone know how to get the autorisation please tell me.
PS : the mod won't die if it is delate on mod db, I will work on it, and maybe, one day, if I have the autorisation, or if swtor is "dead" you will be able to download it.

actually I'd be more interested in a warhammer 40k mod, but its sad they didn't give you authorization I was really looking forword to this mod
Well, I wanted to make a Star Wars mod because I'm a fan and I know this universe, but I know nothing about Warhammer 40k ^^ (I just know how looks like space marines but it's the only thing)
if you wont make a wh40k mod maybe you could give me some incite into modeling and skinning for men of war as2 like what programs you used and techniques I would be incredibly grateful to you if you would please send me a pm on moddb
if you want I can help with the lore I know almost everything about the warhammer 40k universe it'd make a lot of warhammer fans happy I would make it myself but I know nothing about making mods let alone making mods for assault squad 2 and men of war in general

I really want this mod to launch it looks like you put a lot of work into it, so I thought maybe you could figure out how to contact another person who was able to get permission. I know the mod for MOWAS2 Galaxy At War Launched a little bit ago and they had a lot of star wars related things in their game.
Maybe you can rename to yours, and change a little bit on the characters.
just do it and dont tell them about it that simple
there are hundreds of star wars mods that rip models from star wars games and the companies ea, lucas arts and disney have never pursued them i think your in the safe zone. people rip models from battlefront nothing has happened to them.here is a mod that rips models from swtor like you do, Moddb.com. as long as you give credit to diseny, ea and lucas arts your are not doing anything wrong. plus if you are not doing this for money its perfectly safe
As long as no money is made from your work, and both games are preexisting I do not believe you need permission to to make a modification to this game even if it's inspired, although I do not know if it's ok to take assets form SWOTOR and port them over.
As I said :
Because, just by using the name : Star wars, I am in illegality.
And pictures are copyrighted by EA, so if I make the same pictures (models, sounds, ...) I'm in illegality.
It's not because I make it myself, that I can do it ^^
You could just rename the mod like they did with galaxy atvwar
if its a mod and not an actual game does that even still apply? (maybe stealing models is bad) but there are plenty of star wars mods out there.
I think yes but as it's not an actual game, developers will forget the game and so they won't care about mods.
But for now, the game (the old republic) is an alive game.
NOOOOOO! I had such high hopes for this mod, that really sucks that ea/Lucas arts didn't give you permission,well i hope someday in the future we will see this mod resurface
