Melonracing is an old concept, it has been with us since the first
implementation of the Lua programing language to Garry's Mod.
Melonracer Deluxe however, is but a year old. The last time I worked on it was

When playing Melonracer Deluxe, you will be in control of a rather fast-moving melon with the goal of
racing through the checkpoints, dodging and climbing obstacles on the way, and reaching the finish
line before your opponents.
But there's more!
To aid you, and create more carnage on the track, power-up pickups have been introduced with varying effects;
From simple things such as a temporary speed boost,
to giving you rockets to fire at your opponents or obstacles,
to more mysterious things such as the rare Disco Dave powerup.
While converting the gamemode to use the Fretta base, I found that a lot of my old code sure could use a cleanup, and probably work better too.
The old Heads-up-display used many lua hooks to the HUDPaint function, instead of changing the function itself.
Anyway, work is going forward and the gamemode is running without any odd errors, although, most features are disabled.
