Azrien Fox has finished yet another Lowland and Rhine Faction - this time, a once-member of the HRE, Duchy of Brabant.

The Duchy of Brabant

The original Duchy of Brabant was formally by Warman222. This is technically a complete faction overhaul and expansion. New textures, assets, and unique units based off the historical military and urban sources of the area.

In addition, this is probably the biggest faction I have done in terms of texturing. I have used 32 different Coat of Arms provided by Heraldry of the World. to create a very unique looking set of knights and militia units. Along with the additions of armours created by LTD, Banskie, Slytacular, YGW and others, the faction's tier three is looking quite breathtaking.

So, here is the faction!

Focus: One of the Lowland Countries, their well-knit and governed towns provides diverse selection of levies and militia, giving the player the opportunity to field a well-balanced, low level unit, infantry army even before building higher-level barracks to provide more professional troops. The Medieval Low Countries are well known for their Goedendags, and early adoption of Pikes, which gives Brabant an edge in this regard together with their fellow Lowland neighbours such as Flanders. In Tier 3, they will have access to Gendarmes, to represent the Burgundian influence as Brabant became a part of the Burgundian Netherlands.

Will you be adding back all the HRE duchies now? I'm talking about the Duchies of Bavaria and Saxony. Also I was wondering why you removed them in the first place.

HRE shall return after Zsimmortal finished Austria. Bavaria and Saxony are suspended because of the outdatedness and lack of significant roster differences to the main HRE roster.

I know you probably get this asked a lot but is there a release date or something on the campaign?

There are some in-house critiques for the appearance, so Azrien would address that first; followed with an update of Flanders to be more inline to the new Brabant roster. They're neighbours, the roster can't be so different.

Roster for the Uppstalboom League would be interesting - it was the time of the Frisian Freedom, their roster would comprise almost completely of Urban Militia types
