The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

now I feel to commemorate every Reaper Upload I shall do a single quote from Sovereign.

Tremble...well you know what to do

"We are eternal. The pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything."

Around 10k polys seems a bit much for an RTS. Are you going to implement LODs or are you going to reduce the poly count by baking the details into a texture?

Sins will handle 10k oily just fine for capital ships or titans.

In Sins, the traditional poly count for units are kinda high (that is if I remember correctly). The fighters are about 2k, frigates 4k, cruisers 6k, capital ships around 8k, and the new titans upwards of 10k. Stations vary from a few thousand up to 16k with starbases. It just depends how many of the units that you are going to have on screen, and with the Sovereign it will be the Titan, so there will only be one.

In which direction will the reaper fly? Like from head to tentacles (like from the view of ships it looks like the reaper is going to eat them) or whey fly with their eyes facing forward like the model suggests?

Description

Sovereign Class Reaper Dreadnought Final just under 10k poly. I have to give credit to bioware for the amazing concept art that made putting this thing together a much easier task
