It attempts to capture the classic feel of a large assortment of characters with new stories set during the heyday of such icons as Captain America, Thor, the X-Men, the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four, as well as a bevy of villains and guest stars. This mod gives you control over some of your favorite superheroes and lets you fight for justice in four color glory! Included you will find a total of ten campaigns for a wide variety of characters and teams. You can face the villainous Hellfire Club as the X-Men, or struggle to save all of the nine realms as Thor and his allies. Oppose the Machiavellian machinations of the Kingpin as Spider-Man and his allies, or take on the greatest threats the world has ever known as the Avengers! An amazing "Freedom Force VS the Third Reich"-mod. I've been playing the three single character X-men missions as Wolwerine and Gambit and let's just say the last one were very hard with Gambit and Rouge (i loved that mission btw, i remember the one comic i actually liked the most out of my maybe six or seven X-men 90's comics, that it had Gambit and Rouge teaming up and fighting together as lovers), all the missions up to where the entire X-men team has gathered were great and i played on easy because i suck after not playing Freedom Force in forever.
There are long campaigns for the X-men (great), for the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Spiderman and many others. I have only playtested the X-men missions yet and they told me the mod is very good and promising.
I don't have much personal investment in the Fantastic 4, the Avengers and some others. For me Marvel were X-MEN, Spiderman and Daredevil. I'm not sure Daredevil has his own campaign but at least he is in the mod, and all of his enemies most likely.
In one of the X-men missions with Gambit and Rouge you had to fight Bullseye from Daredevil. Has many characters from most of Marvel facing off both in campaigns and in the sandbox battle arena. I do enjoy watching characters fight in the TV-mode. And with all of these characters it will take time to track down the ones you'd want, especially since there are the vanilla FF characters mixed in with them in the battle arena as well.
If you don't like the fact that the creator is using the classical versions of the heroes, then you can easily replace these models with the ones you'd want - and they'd still have their stats and powers. There are lots of new powers, voices and animations.
This mod is in my opinion vast and deserving of a ten.

For any Comic Book Fans out there, this is an absolute must. Not only are there some "Fan Favorites" as far as Characters go, but there are some lesser known Characters as well. Not only is the Mod fun to play, but it has a great replay value as well. Beautiful Art, Balanced Characters, and it just keeps growing and getting better. Absolutely worth giving it a shot. You definitely won't regret it.
This mod is absolutely incredible. This is from the same guy who made literally all of the other FFvtTR mods on this site and his mods are just getting better and better.
All of the campaigns are a blast to play through. Be you a Spider-Man fan, an Avengers junkie, an X-Men maniac, a Hulk buff, or even a Fantastic Four fiend (which this mod represents waaaaay better than Fox ever had), this mod has you covered AND MORE!
There are still a few, minor, bugs here and there, but if you're wanting a quality superhero experience, look no further than Marvel Adventures! (or do, because all of Benton's mods are great!)
