Description

Left: Paratype of Saurophthirus exquisitus sp. nov. from the Early Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Northeastern China. Adult male.

Right: My own reconstruction for Mandibles. I used the fossil as reference for the upper view, and an illustration of a modern flea as reference for the side view, tweaking the proportions later on to resemble the fossil as much as possible. Nevertheless, there are still a few differences in body proportions.
