The Maelstrom Mod introduces four new races to the Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Universe. They are independent of the original races and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom is available for Rebellion, Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Original Sins.

Considering it is developed by only one developer... I am damn lucky to have such a fleshed out mod. Only minus point is the slight unbalance between the new factions, but hey, nothing is perfect. And this mod ain't nothing.

Amazing mod that fits seamlessly into the sins of a solar empire universe! If you are looking for a mod that plays just like the original but includes some amazing new features I couldn't recommend this mod more! It provides the user with new races, tech and units that allow the game to have a very different feel every game and in my opinion eliminates the monotony within the standard edition! It also adds new worlds and bonuses that expand the horizons of map generation and game play!

This is the best mod that I've EVER saw for any game. It has probably more stuff than original game... But that's great! This is A-W-E-S-O-M-E mod!!! Must-have for any SOASE fan.
