The Maelstrom Mod introduces four new races to the Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Universe. They are independent of the original races and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom is available for Rebellion, Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Original Sins.
The artwork is awesome , most ship are well balanced , and it just is a huge amount of fun to use!
Best mod ive played in soase! So much content and not a mode like: its finished so it needs no further updates ... keep up the good work guys!!

I have to say, coming into this mod I was not expecting much, but I was wrong. The ships look great, the new weapon effects and such are a great addition to the game, and overall, this is a mod I would recommend to anyone to try out for themselves.
Brilliant integration of new factions and new ships. Each faction is actually unique across the board and the original factions have a fresh feel. Some of the models could be a bit sharper but that is literally one or two and many are excellent. I think the Damocles is an unbelievably awesome unit and would play this mod for that ship alone! Outside of Star Wars mods (personal preference) I think this is the best SoaSE Rebellion mod going and I have tried quite a few.
Absolutely my favorite Sins mod, by far. The game is well balanced (demonstrated by how well the added races play against vanilla ones), and is a lot of fun.

this game is better than vanilla sins, and if there was to be a sins2. i would expect many of the features i've come to love in mealstrom. to be in it.
