At the origine the ring world was a sci fi litrature fact En.wikipedia.org , Miscrosoft add only it to HALO, they thought it was a good begining for a game serie. That's not a good begining... This is an awesome begining!

You will have to explore the Ring World and see if you can find any?
Let us know if you do find them, or if they find you ...

This gets more incredible by the minute! Do you fully realize how awesome your work is?! =)

The only way this can get more awesome is if you make planet sized ships ;P

The Skylark of Valeron (Norlamins Battle Capital) should be the size of a moon. R5 will concentrate on the Fleets - reworking models and tweaking abilities and effects.

The problem with large ships is that they can't maneuver, they'll just bump into things ... you may see this when you have large numbers of Dreadnoughts in the same gravity well.

how is the habitable area of this artificial planet 'uninaginable'?

does it have layered surfaces like a multi story building or something?

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote
soase-maelstrom Author

The "surface area" is unimaginably large ... that is compared to a standard planet.

soooooo yeah i think u should make these like kinda the relics of sins and have 3 on each map where if u collect them all u win if u can control them all for 30 minutes like the holy relics in age of empires...or make them like a super cannon that act like giant mass drivers and shoot stuff through them to blow other stuff up...btw what where the point of the halos were they supposed to be safe havens from the flood for the fore runners or wat...never played the halo series just bits and peices from demos and random campaign missions from halo 3 and halo wars (awsome btw and shouldve been compatible for PC use) and never read any of the books

In the famous words of Prophet Mercy; "Halo, it's divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

& In the famous words of 2401 Penetant Tangeant; "A reclaimer, here? At last! We have much to do! This facility must be activated, if we are to control this outbreak! *pauses for prophet regret to talk* NOT TRUE. This facility is accumulated at 2.1 trillion, and 1 actual. It is ready to fire, on demand."

Actually you are all 100% wrong about that being a halo reference. There is a series of books called "Ring World" in which the this structure was built by a race called the "Pak Protectors". Not a bad read, but this is clearly a reference to that.

Description

New Worlds of Maelstrom

The inhabitable surface area of this hospitable 'planet' is unimaginable. The product of an ancient civilization.

The outer ring defenses of the Ring World emit strong EM radiation which causes havoc with enemy weapon systems.
