The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

Nice! This music is so immersive and eerily ambient.

In my opinion it's too dramatic/progressive (fast changes) and a bit too loud to be ambient. Ambient music should blend in with the background perfectly to make the game more immersive. But good work.

You'll be able to adjust your volume to-taste in the options menu, as always, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Also, this is a teaser meant to showcase the music, so it'd be a little silly to have it at low volume.

Thanks for the feedback.

It needs noise elements or at the very least some fuzz on the synths.

Eerie... sounds a bit like the music of Silent Hill, Metro 2033, Resident Evil, and even slightly like... Goldeneye 64?

The ambient sounds in LURK 1.1 was one of my favorite things about the mod... if there was only one thing I could ask out of v1.2, it would be to have more chilling, ghostly, unnatural noises that creep out. Just to be walking and to hear leaves crunching nearby, a branch breaking. Gunshots and screams in the distance. Deep moans. Wandering a building and hearing crying, or laughter, or stumbling footsteps.

The Zone is disturbing not only for its mutations, but for its haunted history, a deranged history of survival, loneliness, and fear. It would be a beautiful thing to capture these fragmented themes in a soundtrack for the game... :)
