Some time ago, I was thinking about to make Duke Nukem 'Lunar Apocalypse' episode for Doom 3. I have been searching in the web to ensure that nobody made this before, and then, I decided to start it. My intention is not to make a "clone" of the levels, but a personal version, with some differences and more detailed/modern design. I have finished the first level, "Spaceport" (also known as 'E2L1'), and now I'm in the middle of "Fusion Station" (E2L4). There are a total of 9 levels (secret levels will not be included). In addition to the maps, another features are not in my mind (excerpt the skybox and some texture), but it's possible to use monsters from my last mod, 'Hell In Time' (2014). It will take my time, so I don't know when this could be finished, but I will inform with advances frequently. For the moment, I upload some screenshots, wich show a view from original maps (Duke Nukem) at right bottom corner.

I never really felt that the Lunar Apocalypse episode really fitted Duke Nukem 3D, I mean I know it basically follows the roots of the first two games but DN3D seemed to suit the Earth city theme better.

Question Papamonos. Do you use Discord? There is an Id Tech 4 discord server. I'd like to have more mappers to chat with who still mod Doom 3. If you want I can send a link.

Sorry, currently I don't use Discord or any other. But I have seen a recent conversation at DoomWorld forums about this, so it's possible to look. Really Doom 3 and his engine (IdTech 4) was underrated, and certainly you can not make "supermaps" plenty of monsters as Doom/Doom2, or any old game, but is demostrated that this have a lot of possibilities (thanks to the assets) to create good variety and different environments/sceneries, with uncountable modifications (textures, sounds, scripts, defs... and the own source code). For good examples, 'The Dark Mod' (a complete 'stand-alone' game) or 'Hell in Time' (my previous work from 2014, and published at this same web), with more classic and intense action gameplay. The biggest problem is the poor engine performance and his limits (independently of your computer), and lacking 'AI'/aggressiveness from monsters.
