In this Total Conversion you will play in Cairn Bay (known from Jedi Outcast), but this time from another perspective! Remember you how you met as Kyle Katarn the great Jedi Master Luke Skywalker? Well it's very interesting what Luke could did in Cairn Bay, so I decided at begin of 2008 to develop such an mod for Jedi Academy.
This Mod was planned to contain 5 maps.
These five maps are similar to these of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast:
The First Map is "Cairn Bay".
The Second Map is "Cairn Assembly".
The Third Map is "Cairn Reactor".
The Fourth Map is "Cairn Dock 2".
And the last Map is "Cairn Dock 1".
Don't get confused about the names, I know there are the same like the in Jedi Outcast, but the fact is Luke will not go the same way like Kyle ;)
The State of the mod is currently unkown, because I lost all the maps in may 2010 and today (17.06.2011) I found a DVD with Jedi Academy Backups, including the maps for this mod.

Hello there, 5 Months have passed since the last news.
Well many happend, but I will not give up this work!
Since October my graphic card is broken.
I bought then a new one, which brake up after only 3 weeks.
Because of a corrupt mainboard, I bought last week a new pc, so the graphic card drama will end now!
Maybe next week the PC will arrive, then later I will continue finally the work on this old mod.
The Concept with the 5 Levels still exist.
I will finish the first map quickly as I can.
After this few years, my mapping knowledge growed up.
I hope that I will finish this mod with a good level design.
The important thing is, that YOU will have fun for some hours with Jedi Academy again.
And I can understand that you are angry. I'm only talking but nothing happens.
I understand this for 100 % and I hope that I will not dissappoint you.
What are my plans for the future?
I was really surprised as I saw that mapping for valve's source engine isn't different as for Jedi Academy.
No wonder, both Engines have their origins in the Quake Engine.
My plan is now after mapping for Jedi Academy, going to the source engine.
But let me first finish this mod. ;)

Yes these are very good news. The Level of Part 1 is complete. Now I must only fix all bugs in the map and then I will script all NPC's, Cutscenes and Waypoints. ;)

my favorite jedi level is the tomb in academy where they're trying to steal the force power of a jedi knight. I wish someone would expand that level and make it 3 times the size.
haha thats mine to also i love the level if i remember right is when your on this train if im right and your high up in the air for the whole level and your supposed to get to the front of it and stop it well i cant really remember right cause i havent played this in 2-3 years i borrowed the game from my friend.
