Description

This is a config that sets all graphics to low to increase FPS. If you have FPS drops you may want to get this. To install delete any gzdoom-(username).ini files in your Doom Remake 4 folder and unzip this one (gzdoom.ini) into that folder.

Hi, thanks for that config.

That preview screenshot looks like E1M2 from Doom 1. How did you apply that dynamic lighting there!?? Whatever I do I don't get things looking like that (I'm talking about the normals and light reflections on the floor and on the walls).

It's seen only when zombies shooting, so the light reflecting floors.

Hmm, this would imply that the dynamic light comes from the gunfire. However even then I don't see any reflections like that. Is that screenshot from your latest build?

I'm sorry, I checked again and you're right, when they shoot the reflections show up shortly.

So, do you know some good tutorial / wiki / knowledge base on how to efficiently make dynamic lights for a whole map?

First download Zdoom.org. Use zwadconv.exe to convert your doom.wad (place it in same folder). Create a shortcut to zwadconv.exe add add argument "doom.wad doom_converted.wad". And launch that shortcut. In your folder you'll get doom_converted.wad

Now download GZDoom Builder Devbuilds.drdteam.org and open that converted wad with it. Choose the map (for example E1M1) and press ok.

Now press F2 and change game configuration to GZDoom: Doom 2 (UDMF)

Go to Mode -> Things mode. Make a new thing by clicking two times and any part of the map. Choose the category called Dynamic Lights. Pick "Light" and set it's intensity and colour.

I'm not sure though if map will work completely right after conversion to the different format. Maybe you will have to fix some switches.
