Lost Skies is a mod based off the anime series "Last Exile", set in a universe where airships are the only means of transportation. Similar to Microsoft's "Crimson Skies" in looks, Lost Skies tries to capture a mix between 1920's-styled air vehicles and 1800's dignified uniformed troops.
****Due to lack of support or a solid mod team, this project has been cancelled, although the idea is persistant. Perhaps in the future it will be revitalized under a better engine.
Thanks to those few of you who did provide initial support.. I'm really sorry both that I couldn't produce this thing, and that I've let you down.
Methed signing off.
The mod Lost Skies for Unreal Tournament 2004 is trying to construct a team to develop the game quicker. Lost Skies is based off the anime series "Last Exile", taking place in a world ruled by airships and 1930's style.
Specifically, we're interested in:
- An Unrealscript, C++, or Java programmer
- A webmaster to help rebuild website
- UT 2004 mappers
- Extra 2d, 3d, and sound artists.
Currently we are working on artwork, a design document has already been made, along with weapon/vehicle stats and even a rough code hierarchy.
We don't have a forums up yet, so if you're interested, just send an email or post a comment in the mod profile.
Thanks!

this mod looks awsome i am looking forward to playing it.
Cool :D
I quite like Last Exile, so I'd like to see this mod being playable ;)
For anyone interested... Desync.com is streaming the Last Exile series over Winamp TV. You can tune in by getting Winamp 5, and browing over Internet TV, or maybe visit desync's site.
Actually watching the show might give you a better feel for what we're aiming for.
hello?
Looks a bit rough now, but the game concept has promise. The air combat component adds a whole new dimension for coding and much more intensive combat for the player. Can't wait to see this thing evolve.
