Lost Dragons is a multiplayer total modification aiming to bring out a new thrilling gamemode for Arma3 . Our concept is futuristic objective based team warfare with randomly generated map elements to ensure every game is a unique experience with completely new set of units, weapons, structures and terrain.
I've been working on the Opfor Dropship to bring it in game and possible for testing in the upcoming alpha 0.2.0.
So far progress has been steady and Im quite satisfied how the landing gear come down!
Since the ship is around 100 meters long it will take some magic to bypass the 50 meter limit again, but Im positive it will be worth the effort.
The ships cargo bay can hold ~3 HQ vehicles +1 on the elevator or 12 + 4 Recon Vehicles and the crew quarters have enough space for the passengers.
Goal is to eventually have the ship fully interactive with walkable interiors and such so that the ship could be used outside the primary mission too.
I've been thinking naming the ship type "Sloth" since something in it reminds me of one when the wings are down, but I'm open for suggestions.
Raptor Class Dropship since its so sleek. .. how about that? tho Sloth works aswell your choice in the end.
Raptor makes me think of something quick and agile, while sloth is better suited to a slow and lumbering transport ship.
I have to agree, Raptor sounds more like a fighter than cargo lifter. :D
What about Albatross? Big, built for efficiency, not speed.
Good idea too, now i might need to flip a coin between the two.
