this looks amazing, but how will this impact the performance? I mean the amount of rooms you want to add into the walls

It is a valid concern and we simply do not know yet. If it proves to be unplayable we can always scale to larger pieces as a plan B but we won't know before we try.

also recommend looking into caching. there are ways to "spawn" rooms without them being present until the player is within a certain distance. thats how ALIVE handles AI

Yea, we will see what can be done. That could work like generating some kind of seed when player is near first time and construct rooms based on that seed. That way it can be reconstructed but problem in that solution is stuff that was left in rooms. But we will solve this somehow. I can think couple of solutions already.

Right now with just the walls and forests theres no fps problems, but we don't know what will happen when more details are added.

With good LOD optimization there should not be any problem graphics wise, but we don't know if the object count will have too negative inpact in performance.

Description

The circle hub base walls are pretty much done for now.

There are some end cap pieces that cover the overlap of different angled pieces and it looks much cleaner now.
