Lost Alpha is a new episode of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series made by dezowave group for free!
So here we are, one year passed again, and we have never been so close to the release like now :) We guess you already feel, that 2012 will be the year, when Lost Alpha, our beloved project finally reaches your hard-drives... We can not say specific release date, but probably by the end of February we will surely be able to name the month, when we can finally release our dream.
Until then, here is our present to all our fans, and newcomers, a short video and some screens, which shows we are doing our best to be able to give you a well polished product. We tried to not to spoil much, however it's real hard. ...but finally it's in 720p, our first good quality video :)

This looks like a trailer for an actual game! Nice work on the well... at this point, I would consider it a new game entirely.
This is what the Zone should have always been portrayed as. I have literally dreamt of playing such an immersive and epic adventure into Chernobyl. I can not thank you guys enough for this. I am at a loss for words of how AMAZING this game rather than a mod will be. Thanks, Dezowave Team.

I haven't touched any of the STALKERS for at least 18 months now simply because this mod always sits in the back of my head reminding me how awesome it will be in comparison to anything that is out right now!

If you mean the scene at ~3:00 with the stalker helping you: I think it was meant to be that quiet in this trailer, as it's more about the levels and overall atmosphere. The background noise is not from the mic, I can assure you! ;)
And the only other voices are thopse of the hind's crew, which can be understood very good imho. Well, and if you didn't hear that kickass announcer, you should get your ears checked :D

Well, with the amount of hours spent on the mod (1,452,666 so far) times the chinese slave worker hour rate ($0.01) divided by amount of ppl that would buy this (10) it's gonna be about... I don't know. I'm not that good at maths :)
to my mind, price of 20-30 bucks is more modest to fair for this level of hardworked project. Don't judge me too harsh, I just don't know the European prices per game :)

Something nobody else pointed out, the AK's are glitched I'll asume that'll get fixed besides that incredible, amazing and awesome with epic on top.

Will there be chance to put back in the game original stalker soundtrack? I know you made your own .... I respect that and I like that soundtrack...But stalker soundtrack is also part of old atmosphere for me... SO there will be time when I want to play LA with stalker soundtrack.

Finaly after all the waiting...i rly followed this mod from the very beginning and now the release date is finaly in sight!!It certainly looks like it was worth the wait after all this time its just needs zo be awesome lets just hope we get an early release date in late february (i will kill myself and my whole city if the release date would be december 2012)Im going in the belgian army now so i hope i still have time to play the game i already done my selection tests and my actual training will start in april and will take like 8 months...It wil most likely come out in the middle of my training when i dont have the time to play but its still f***in' awesome great work dezowave team i hope you can start working for GSC and make a decent stalker 2,best of luck!!
