Lost Alpha is a new episode of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series made by dezowave group for free!
We, the developers of Lost Alpha wish you the love of friends and family... and peace within your heart in 2011. We had a little delay, and surely everyone is waiting for the new year video, we hope it will please You.
For those, who want to compare our video with old GSC's E3 2004 video, don't forget, that GSC-s presentation video was made for only a presentation, and was not suitable for ingame playing. When you finished some task, eg: kill the 3-merc at the barn, it started a sr_cutscene with camera movement, stopping actor's movement, and spawning npc (with the same mesh as actor) in front of actor with anim (to equip hand radio and use it)... the same when car arrives.
This looks nice for a presentation video, which demonstrates what you can do in game, but according to us, its useless gig for a gameplay video, where you will have low chances to stop at the same position, or to kill the enemies in the same order, then everything is f*cked up. Not to mention there is no other way to remake these events, since you cannot force actor to play anim, this was not implemented into the engine. And spawning and removing npcs in front of the player looks bad, if you are not doing it just for a video, where you can cut out the not neded parts.
And finally, our trailer was not made without a reason. Keep in mind, that we have real low resources, and we wouldnt spend days on recreating a video just for fun. Its actually a storyline mission in LA (still wip).

This is incredible! @.@ The events from the old trailer!! Even the old dialogue! I'd just tone down the bird songs at night though. But seriously, I've been finding it more and more difficult to describe how incredibly epic all this work is!!! Thank you and your entire team for everything you've shown to us!!

Will the blowout be like that in the game, since i always thinked that blowouts are too fast in mods, AMK mod etc.
Also, the blowout is epic.
too fast in mods ? =) I tell you one funy thing, when I played oblivion lost mod, I did what I do every time when I play stalker. I set in alife config time from 1:10 to 1:1 to make game more realistic and get real two days for quests=D
So 20minutes blowout from game, which originaly took about 2 minutes last now real 20 minutes... so It was like: oh great blowout again, Im going shoping. And I hide to some place and let game run and I wnet out for half an hour =D

OMG!!! The only thing i would improve about this mod would be to get better animations, i mean reloading animations and stuff. Have you seen the S.R.A.P animations? Their pretty cool... I dont really like the ugly way you hold the G36 or the SIG 550, you know you hold your thumb over the iron sight? Anyway, new weapon animations would be awesome! Thanks to the Lost Alpha team for making this mod. I LOVE YOU!
I also forgot to add: I downloaded a test build, and when i got to play i found an AK-74 and the shooting animation was just AMAZING! I can't believe they removed the animation! If anyone knows what I'm talking about here, you know what I'm saying! Seriously check the animation out and just... do your magic, I mean if you see it you WILL be amazed they didn't use the animation in the final release! Thanks again the the Lost Alpha for making this mod. I LOVE YOU!
Hmm, is there any chance that we can get a realistic hud, removing minimap and all other indicators except bleeding, radiation and hunger?

why would it be blue? blue was armor, but since its degrading pretty slow, its not necessary to have it there. its enough to see it in inventory :É
in one of the videos I saw that hog were traces of bullets.
but in this video I saw that on the dynamic object are the marks of bullets. is whether the function is in the final version?

WOW! There is wind sound like on 1935 build garbage, that is usaully used in HL2 - i love it =)
I commented on YT about the same thing, that the player had 2 teammates in the 2004 e3 demo
Visible wind and leaves driven by it, mutant packs of that size and different "composition" - these things would be AWESOME to encounter in the game!
