The space in the description was limited. We added tons of extras to the console, such as from now you can set the grass draw distance from 50 (min) up to 200meters (max). In SoC grass draw distance was only 25meter around the player. K_AP was added in, so bullet impact heavily relies on the armor you wear. Will write more soon.

definitely not on xray :) I started to write the design documentation last summer, the basic is already done, we are now working on testmaps and the 1st area where the game would begin. It will be revealed early next year -hopefully-, and we will aim for kickstarter in order to be able to hire professional animators and cg artists.

I love the work you guys have done. Lost Alpha is amazing. I also love how much time you put into it that even got serious attention from the developers themselves.

I highly doubt what I have to say will make a difference but I would like to advise (if the kickstarter is based on a large project) to push back the Kickstarter campaign until you complete and release the next large update for Lost Alpha.

Immediately you will have attention and fans for what you have done but Lost Alpha at its state can feel a little on the alpha status. In addition it has been a while since release therefore the peak of its would of died down quite a bit. I think your Kickstarter will have so much support and attention + credibility if you release Lost Alpha in its more complete state backed with a big promotion like it's a re-release.

My rationale on this is to gain the attention of the masses once again and remind them why they would want to play your games again.

Regardless you have my support and I feel obliged to support your kickstarter campaign (whatever it will be about) for all the amazing Stalker content and features you gave us.

KS will be sometimes next year, after LA DC is finished ofc. We can't work on 2 things in the same time as our team is small.

Wouldn't it be easier that when the player wears the Bandit jacket at the bandit camp in the Dark Valley, they would still be considered hostiles (red dots on the radar) just like the soldiers under the bridge in the Cordon? While in Cordon the soldiers would start shooting only if attacked or the player tried to pass the bridge without paying, maybe you can do something similar with the bandits.

Less hassle than making the bandits have actual "Friend" status while disguised...

It would be easier, but if you count that this happened with "free Fox from Sin guys without fight" in cordon, and 90% of players still killed the Sin guys...even after we set them to friends. :D

Why not have some kind of bandit ranking system of some sort, a new bandit would be low ranked and only gets access to cheap stuff, wont get any special treatment and treated wth doubt until he proves himself.
This could eb taken further, maybe you are an agent and maybe be able to become a double agent a story could rise from there.

i have the mac portation, ver 1.0003 but ingame the weapons, ammo and everything elses descriptions in my inventory were in russian language. but i need the in english. how can we do that?

Look at that face, like after a long saturday night :D

A little update. Gr1phoon and utake3r are fixing weapon upgrading and weapon bones, as somehow they decided to crash the game when we shoot, and without shooting it's not so fun to play. Also need to fix many smaller bugs, like the random crash on dolina at the bandit base (after you grab the docs), seems like the faction and relation change on the fly is not so welcome (you become loner from bandit, and enemy from neutral while everyone is standing around you and their restrictor tells them you are friend, while you aren't ...anymore). Blowouts and the whole dynamic weather has to be fixed and finetuned, as somehow the sky fx during the blowout fails to load since 3rd patch. To tell something good too: alife reaction was finally fixed, and we didnt have to edit m_stalker or any other file which others suspected, the problem is in engine and the gulag files. They were restricted way too much (failsafe actions we added in 2013 sometimes make more "bugs", than help). Utak3r will try to optimize the dx10.1 render even more, and we will check on dx11 too, which skyloader added before he left, as it's still unfinished.

New developers joined, Simon, who will help to work on models and levels in the next project. Kaloyan will help with game design, currently he is learning xray engine to help with LA too, but he will mainly concentrate on the new project. Three more guys might join us too (Daniel, Lifestorock and Srdan), Daniel will help in programming in the new project, the others will work on textures for LA and textures-n-models for the next project as well. We are still looking for new members, if you would like to join, do not hesitate to contact us as every members are doing this kind of work in their freetime, which means if we only have 1 person for 1 kind of job and (s)he doesn't have time for 2-3 weeks, then it's stalling till they return. So the more members we will have, the better it will be.
