What is the R1 and R2 everybody's talking about?
These are the different renders/shaders of the game.
r1 is the one with static light & shadows and without any bumpmaps but therefor it's more cpu friendly , r2 is the one with dynamic lights & shadows, bumpmaps and a few other things, mostly just eye candy.
But Lost Alpha will look good both ways and the more important thing about this game is the atmosphere anyway :)
Oh, I heard about something like that long time ago. Silly me, forgetting things. But still, the updates don't come as often to keep me shining bright.

P.S. I don't care about the graphics, I have went from lower than lowest settings to highest possible (if you can say that, I mean, with mods) and it's still the same S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I love. I could go back to the low graphics look and still enjoy the game/mod.
