ABOUT
Level-13, is a map pack which contains 'updated' versions of official (MP) maps created by Irrational for SWAT 4. But not only official, any user created maps are also supported (SP/MP).

Professional players will find updated spawn points, level design and lightning in all maps provided. There are some minor weapon tweaks, but nothing that will change damage or recoil of any weapon unrealistically. Minor changes with weapons like a little more realistic recovery rate for crosshair, improved zoom, more clip counts (only those that require) increased grenades affect (CS lasts longer and has larger radius, same goes for bangs, stinger do a little more damage). Difference between which grenade affects which armor type to helmet type is now more visible. On most part, I think you will see weapons almost similar to default SWAT-4 ones. I don't want any balance issues.

Also, now the spawns/re-spawns cover 'larger' area. More realistic. For example, in Courthouse level, I am sure some of you have experience spawn campaign in the parking area a lot. Sometimes suspects can win the game by camping at parking area. To counter any kind of camping, now SWATS spawn all over the parking strategically in small group behind some cover (like car, or pillar). This will not only give SWAT an edge when countering any spawn camping, but will surprise any suspect trying to hide and camp there.

These updates were done mainly keeping in mind VIP Escort. But other modes will work just fine (with updates) and I will update them as I get more feedback from community.

UPDATED OFFICIAL MAPS
'Official Maps' are what originally came with SWAT 4 created by Irrational. These maps have been changed/updated keeping in mind the 'balance' issues in most of them because of bad spawn points, unrealistic lightning to some irregular level design. These maps will be updated regularly according to input received from the community.

WEAPON UPDATES
Don't worry, these updates don't affect damage or recoil or any default setting set by Irrational. So there is no balance issues. Only thing updated for weapons are the weapon attributes related to reticule (cross-hair) update rates. In real life, I doubt it that a professional SWAT officer will shoot so badly when walking or running. Though my updates won't make weapons perfect and most of you will see the changes almost non-existent, there are few main updates (details in the Readme).

UPDATES
** Version 0.5b
- All official maps updated & added to LEVEL-13.
- Many changes in official maps. The most imbalanced maps have been fixed and the changes will be more than visible to everyday player. These changes have been done keeping in mind the VIP-Escort mode, but they don't affect other modes.
- NEW unofficial map 'Desert Ops - Village' by N.S.B.
- Now lock-picking take a little more time (8 seconds) making it more realistic
- Now VIP (VIP Escort) carries '2 Stingers' instead of 'CS Gas Grenade' and 'Wedge'
- Updated the weapons configurations making them behave more realistically in common use
- Modified the damage update for all grenades, updated their damage to different armor types, effect radius & lasting time
- All weapons now have extra clip counts. This change makes more sense cause in real life, I doubt it that SWATS go in with only 3 clips and when out of ammo, ask someone to shoot them so they can re-spawn with a new loaded weapon. Also to be noted is the extra clip count increase has been done keeping in mind the balance issues, so it never goes above 5 clips max. For example, previously AK47 had 3 Clips, now it has 4. Similarly, Breaching Shotgun has 4 clips, now it has 5.
- Updated LEVEL-13 logo in-game and in installer
- Now you can run Dedicated Server for LEVEL-13 straight from the LEVEL-13 folder.
- Updated the installer with better interface and icons
- Updated Readme files with detailed information
- Credits updated in-game
- Many other minor changes

If you notice on the third image, the 1911 is held by ONE hand while before the patch, it was held with 2 hands. That is a change that you did not mention in the description.
