Inspired by the old Imperial Assault II mod that became Republic at War, this mod, unlike every other Clone Wars Mod is not based on TCW, rather the purely Legends "Clone Wars Multi-Media Project" consisting of the Original Clone Wars Series, Books, Comics, and Video Games from 2003-2008 and aims to keep this increasingly threatened but amazing story alive.

Are you going to edit the actual projectiles so its a beam just like ATOC and ROTS?

Knowing Delta, it would seem that he would be going for a more artillery like projectile as seen in the 2003 Micro-series on Muunilinst. Besides, I think the SPHA-T beams are being used exclusively for the Open Circle Venators.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

To answer both questions, canonically theyre able to fire both in a concentrated beam and lob projectiles at trajectorys. For right now the SPHA-T operates the same way the SPMA-T in vanilla fires, however I'm experimenting with the idea of an ability that would allow the player to change fireing modes from projectile to beam. It would work kind of like the point laser defense ability for the crusader corvette only it would specifically target enemy transports attempting to land troops, giving the planet defender an edge. The problem I'm encountering is, I don't think the engine would support a unit ability that relies on another unit ability (in this case "deploy") to be active in order to activate. I have it in the unit's description for now, however it something that I'm gonna go back and play with.

Switching between artillery projectiles and a straight up beam weapon is a little too far fetched for the engine. Unless you take a look at the MAL which switches between rockets and heavy blaster fire (if I recall correctly. It's been forever since I've used the Consortium)

Thrawns Revenge gives Zsinj’s forces a direct fire SPMA which fires turbo laser bolts.

Description

A few artillery units have been added to the game, the SPHA-T and the HAG. As I've done in the Legends Mod: Galactic Civil War, artillery in Legends Mod: the Clone Wars will operate in the same way. I've decreased the fog of war reveal for artillery units and increased maximum range. This not only gives artillery more use than it had in vanilla FOC, but it also forces the player to rely more on scouts as well as gives the player the ability to support infantry and mechanized units from further behind the lines; allowing you to better protect your otherwise weakly armored artillery. This is just one in a multitude of efforts I will undertake to try to make ground combat more fun and tactical rather than just "your man spam vs my man spam".
